It is no wonder Costa Rica has one of the highest vehicle accident rates in the world

I read this statement yesterday which is posted on the U.S Department of State website. I had a good laugh out of this because during a recent trip to Costa Rica (and the first time I had ever been there or ANYWHERE outside the U.S.) I got to experience the local driving skills firsthand. Let me tell you this statement doesn't do it justice!

Costa Rica has one of the highest vehicle accident rates in the world. The fatality rate for pedestrians and those riding bicycles and motorcycles is very high.
