Name of your website?

Guanacaste Resorts Properties

Your name?

Max Rodriguez

Your Location (city, etc)

Flamingo Beach

When the site was started?

It was started some three months ago to promote investments in the area

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

In this site, single family homes as well as Condominiums in a gated community are shown. Most of the properties are so close to the construction site of a new, state of the art Marina in Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica, a well known sport fishing destination for anglers from around the world .

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

gathering the pictures.

What has been the easiest part of operating your website?

Uploading the pages.

What was your biggest mistake?

misspelling the e-mail address in the mailto: field.

Who maintains your website and why?

I maintain it myself cause I'm a Systems Engineer.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

A web site is like carrying a brochure wherever you go, or call or write to. You can show pictures to someone thousand of miles away and you know: A picture is worth a thousand words.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Integrating e-commerce, bluetooth, WiFi to cellular phones is the future of Internet. Desktops PC's and in some extend, laptops are doomed to disappear.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Is a legal way to force otherwise expensive methods of finding something , that should be free in the first place.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

My personal experience is that it helped, but being put to the bottom of a list is bad by any means.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Forcing organic searches was very successful to a point, followed by listings and link exchange

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

I haven't tried PPC yet but I have a felling it is not a clever way of doing business. I just don't click for anyone sponsoring unless is a famous brand.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

New code that run faster on browsers, and integrated video easy to setup.

Why am I answering this questions anyway?

I hope this is posted soon and someone come to my country and buy one of these properties that will double its price in a year and make three people happy: The reseller, the Realtor and myself .

What is your website address?
