This is a great website if you are looking for information on Free Trade Zones in Costa Rica. FTZ's are secure areas outside Costa Rica's customs territory. They are managed by private corporations supervised by the FTZ Board. FTZ are found: within 70 miles of Customs ports of entry airports terminal warehouse facilities Free Trade Zones are part of a WAN equipped to allow direct international communication. The facilites are built under the highest engineering standards in the Caribbean Basin. In 1999, there were 219 companies doing business with the benefits and exemptions of FTZ companies.
