Its a Surfboards Factory located at Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. This beautiful country is well known for its beaches and waves. Many surfers come all the year to surf this waves. We are three brothers and we own Fischer Bros Surfboards Designs, we do custom surfboards, surfboard rentals, surf lessons and we have 2 surf shops with all the accesories a surfer needs.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
We needed to show our products and services to the world, so we decided that the internet is the best way to make your company known around the world
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Actually this was the first website I launched, it was in the year 2003
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We decided fbsurfboards.com because its an easy name to remember and to spell also!
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We stand out from our competitors because we do quality surfboards, and we always evolve and try new technologies and materials. Also we want our clients to be happy with the product they get from us, so we try to know every aspect of the client to make a product that adapts the best with every client.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Our Goal is to always try new things, new technologies, materials, new methods, we want to evolve all the time and step up and hopefully make a name all over the world.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We have a good balance, always working hard we achieved a good success
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Well one of us is the designer of Fischer Bros, so he does all the graphic designs, that gives us an unlimited budget on design!
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes we are ready to anything!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
A lot of them!
What has been your biggest challenge?
To start this business from nothing, we had to build the factory with our bare hands! But it worth it!
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
The best method is to give all your clients a product or service that they end happy with, so he will comment about you and say good things about you! I think thats the best method!
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It really has exceeded my expectations!
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We have the site since 2003 and it had some popularity around the surfers, every day we receive emails from people who want to know something about Costa Rica or our surfboards.
