When did you start your website and why?

November 2006. I didn't find any other Podcast about Costa Rica that was done regularly. While others I found where really promotional podcasts put out by companies selling Costa Rica real estate they weren't even run by ticos (Costa Rican). As a Costa Rican, I thought I could provide an entertaining and informational podcast about Costa Rica.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

My website is www.CostaRicaTalkRadio.com. I produce and host a podcast show about Costa Rica with new episodes every 7-10 days.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

I had never produced a podcast or host a show before so that the most difficult part of creating the website, was creating the actual podcast. With each podcast I do it's gets easier.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

My website is a podcast about Costa Rica being that I'm a tico (Costa Rican) and I love my country it's very easy for me to talk about Costa Rica.

What was your biggest mistake?

Setting up the audio gear for my podcasts but I have learned that now and I have no problems recording podcasts.

Who maintains your website and why?

I maintain my website myself.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

It's not really a business so there is no benefit.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

The future of the Internet is very bright indeed!

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

SEO is very important since it's helps people find my website and if you do it right you can get a lot of organic traffic.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

They have helped. My website CostaRicaTalkRadio.com has been indexed well and most of my visitors are coming via the search engines.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I've using organic SEO, listing in directories, and participating in Costa Rica related type forums.
