SellingCR is a portal web site featuring current news, articles, online forums, photo galleries and more. As the name indicates, SellingCR is about the promotion of Costa Rica and all it has to offer. Not just another real estate site!
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Self employed computer engineer for over 25 years so it was natural.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My first web page was launch many years ago called www.watchintv.com and it became so successful that CNN reported a story about it. This was in the late 90's. So actually it wasn't my first but surely the most successful with millions of unique visitors per month.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
SellingCR in most minds reflects realty but we want it to be know as more than that. Its a portal site that features all kinds of various resources of information and communication.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Our site is very interactive with the community and in our design you can clearly see our intent on giving the visitor a wide variety of options to become involved in the site content.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Source of income and future business from its expansion.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
So far its on even keel.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would make it a social network site similar to Facebook and others.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Explore more options for a host to support the massive influx of traffic.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Time...lots of personal time invested because i do it all myself.

Reciprocal links and writing article for feature on other sites.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It doesn't
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I do enjoy it and its been running for a few months now.
Do you consider yourself a good boss?
Yes, I am honest and the information I supply to my clients is accurate and straight forward.
