It's probably nothing new to you to find out that Costa Rica is the retirement place of many American baby boomers. This is no wonder, considering the advanteages of living in Costa Rica as compared anywhere else. First of all, Costa Rica has a very beautiful scenery. Being a tropical nation, it boasts lots and lots of beaches, forests, palm trees--you know what I mean. The medical facilities are comparable to those of the First World nations, and, best of all, you'll spend only a small part of what you spend in the US to have a luxurious life here. So who wouldn't want to retire in Costa Rica. Link: Costa Rica Retirement - Why So Many Gringos Are Considering It. Want to move to Costa Rica? Think squatting is just isolated incidents? I want to make aware what has happened to my parents in Costa Rica. They were nearly beaten to death, and are still undergoing a huge predicament lasting more than 7 months and counting. Armed squatters have seiged their vacation home, and the cops wont help because they are involved. Please read the website Castle of the Sea for more details.. The only one to help us was a reporter from the Tico Times but this corruption goes so deep that he was fired for covering our familys beating and squatting case. Please stay away from these 3rd world corrupt countries unless you support injustice and no governmental infrastructure.
