It's a common misconception among foreigners that Costa Rican cuisine is just like Mexican food. No, they are not the same. But if you really like Mexican food, Costa Rica has a lot of international restaurants serving them.
What I have here is recipe of one Costa Rican dish called gallo pinto, which is basically rice and beans mixed with various spices. There are other Costa Rican recipes here that you might want to try. Happy cooking/eating!
